USHERING THE YEAR OF THE TIGER AT KLGCC WITH ROARING STYLE

Kuala Lumpur, 14 February 2022 - The most recognized celebration and the act most closely associated with the Lunar New Year around the world remains that of the iconic lion dance. Club members and their families, young and old alike gather at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (“KLGCC” or “Club”) last Saturday to watch a spectacular Lion Dance performance by the Kwong Ngai Lion Dance Kuala Lumpur Association.

An extensive precautious measure has been taken by the Club prior to the event such as the placement of social distancing stickers on the floors and hand sanitizers were placed at designated areas to observe a SOP- compliant event. This is to allow the audience and performers to enjoy a merriment atmosphere with peace of mind.

The event kicked off with a clubhouse blessing ritual with two lions walked around the Clubhouse starting from the Annexe Building and ended at the West Lobby with a thrilling acrobatic performance show.

The lion dance performers captivated the audience with their immaculate coordination as well as acrobatic stunts and moves on high stilts, accompanied by the sounds of cymbals, drums, and gongs that are believed to ward off negative vibes during the festive period.

It was truly a special moment for everyone to witness again such incredible performances live at the Club since the pandemic started back in 2020.We look forward in hosting more family- friendly events at KLGCC and wishes everyone a joyful and prosperous year!
