East Course Talk

As the regular players are aware, the greens on the East Course have received a full facelift on the back nine greens and patch up works were completed for the front nine greens.

This unfortunately caused some confusion with the G.U.R. rulings for the half greens under repair, along with having to play with patchy tifdwarf greens on the front nine, as play continued throughout. However, after many disruptions the greens are finally beginning to take shape once again and I expect the speed to continue to improve as maturity sets in.

My apologies for all the inconveniences caused to our members and guests during this time, but we can now see a huge difference in the greens playability, providing a markedly improved putting surface, compared to the past few months.

West Course Talk

The West Course back nine conditions are also continuing to improve as the weeks go by, with good responses to all the maintenance practices we are performing as it matures and settles in. Playing surfaces on all the greens, tees and fairways are beginning to take hold of the regular mowing and maintenance practices, which will be sure to impress the most avid golfers appetite.

The font nine holes are still on schedule, with handover to the GCM department due as soon as practical so we can put the final touches on before opening in the third quarter this year. Therefore by the end of the year we will have the best looking and playing course in Malaysia….by far! (my personal opinion mind you.
